- Sample of your writing. The sample must come from the work you intend to use in the workshop. Prose submissions are to be 5 to 10 pages, double spaced, and on one side of the page. Poetry— 4 to 6 pages, single or double spaces, and on one side of the page.
Please fill out the application form below and then email your CV, publication history, and writing sample to an email that will be provided to you once your on-line application is received. Make sure to include your name and email contact on your application form. Applicants do not have to be published, but it is preferable if they have some publications in magazines and anthologies.
Make sure to indicate the season and session you are applying for, as well as your preferred room type. Participants will be selected by the relevance of their submitted work to the instructor's workshop. Applicants will be notified of their standing throughout the application period. Once the workshop has enough participants, the course will be marked "FULL" and submissions for that session will be closed. Half of the tuition fees are due once your acceptance letter is received, and the remaining amount is due one month before the workshop begins. Fees are nonrefundable, but are transferrable to another qualified applicant or can be used at a later date.
There is a nonrefundable application/ reading fee of $25 that can be paid through e-transfer or Paypal.

Registration Fee for the Pelee Island Writers' Retreat. This fee is nonrefundable, whether you are accepted into the workshop or not, as it is for reading and processing your application.

To Apply for a Residency
Please fill out the application form below, indicating the season and dates you'd like to book. Indicate if you want a shared bedroom, or a single bedroom. There are two options for single rooms. The single bedroom with a King bed is much larger with windows facing the water. Residency applicants do not need to have any work published. Residencies will be booked on a first-come first-serve basis, and will be marked "FULL" as soon as a session is at capacity.
There is a nonrefundable application fee of $10 that can be paid through e-transfer or Paypal.

REGISTRATION FEE FOR RESIDENCY
Registration Fee for the Pelee Island Book House's Residency Program. This fee is to process your application and is nonrefundable, even if you later decide to cancel your stay.
All spring sessions must be applied to no later than March 10th, and for fall sessions the deadline is July 10th. If the session fills up before this date, the individual session will be marked "FULL." Needless to say, the earlier you apply, the better your chances to get in. Applications will be accepted and spots secured BEFORE deadline dates. Applicants are not in competition with each other. If a suitable application is received, then that applicant will be given a spot.
